World History of Drug Use

The World History of Drug Use from 58,000 BC to 1960.  This INFOGRAPHIC was developed using a variety of sources and averages, all of which can be found in the references section below the image.  What the world history of drug use tells us is that drug and alcohol use is not only an ancient part of man, it’s probably an intrinsic part of us considering that the evidence shows that we’ve been seeking various highs since the Neolithic period.  And because we’re not likely to ever stop using drugs as a race, this means that effective treatment for people who are addicted is our only real option.
